Simpl is a technology company that works with merchants and financial institutions to enable a world where every monetary interaction is effortless and transparent.
After spending many years on Wall Street at institutions like Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns, Nitya’s interest turned to how the complex products he previously worked on could be simplified and made available to regular people in a manner that had immediate and instant utility.
In 2013, he decided to move to India and start over. It eventually led him to start Simpl with Chaitra in 2015.
Chaitra had a keen interest in payments, and it was the topic of her dissertation at Stanford.
After a brief stint in Japan, and working with various companies in Silicon Valley, she was introduced to Nitya in 2015. After hashing out their first product idea, she decided to take the plunge and move back to India to start Simpl.
